This is the first year the LA Marathon ran by Skid Row. Which sits on the edge of LA's Little Tokyo; the cultural contrast was looming as those challenged by the race, were met and cheered, by those Americans challenged by race and poverty.
Mile 25: Skid Row Los Angeles.
